There’s a moment during every retreat — often unexpected — when time seems to slow. A breeze stirs the trees, the sound of birdsong rises, and you catch a glimmer in someone’s eyes that says, “This is exactly where I’m meant to be.” At Maud’s Meadow, we’ve created a space where those moments aren’t rare — they’re what the land seems to naturally offer.
If you’re a retreat leader, facilitator, or community organiser dreaming of a space to bring your group together, we’d love to welcome you to our little sanctuary in Moray, Scotland.

A Place of Power: The Magic and History of Moray
Moray is more than beautiful — it’s ancient, sacred, and charged with quiet power.
Long before modern maps, this area was a spiritual heartland for the Picts, the mysterious early people of Scotland known for their deep connection to the stars, symbols, and the land. Stones and mounds nearby still whisper stories of rituals tied to celestial cycles. Many believe Moray holds astrological significance, lying along subtle earth energy lines — making it a potent space for transformation, intuition, and returning to ancient wisdom.
From Maud’s Meadow, you're just a short walk from Bin of Cullen and Hill of Maud — both places of stunning natural beauty, perfect for meditation, hiking, or simply being. And for those seeking to connect more actively with the land, we also offer small group bike rides through the surrounding countryside.
